According to a University of California psychology study, our posture plays an important role in the way our state of mind and emotions are not only perceived but also communicated.
The study played around the display of five emotions: joy, anger, sadness, fear, and disgust. A wide range of participants was able to identify said emotions relying exclusively on body posture.
This study’s results are in alignment with the ayurvedic belief that we store our emotions in our body.
